Thanksgiving dinner has a lot of room for disaster. I’m sure we all have our horror stories. Here are three items that could save the biggest dinner of the year. All less than 2 bucks!
Stove Top. Keep in a cabinet close by. Let’s say Uncle Charlie’s stuffing has a lil’ too much dill, (don’t you hate it when people try to get gourmet and you just want some old fashion stuffing?) you can grab some Stove Top and get your stuffing fix. It’s also great for the day after when you’re makin’ that second plate but there is no more stuffing left. Oh yeah, if you have any vegetarians who don’t like stuffing in the bird they will be very appreciative. Jazz it up a bit. Don’t be scared. Maybe add some fresh veggies and a diced apple – yum.
Chicken Broth. Those mashed potatoes just not hitting the spot? Sneak them away from the table and add some chicken broth and POW! now they’re a hit. Chicken broth can fix the flavor of almost every dish that has gone bad. Add it to your stuffing, mashed potatoes, casseroles, green beans, etc. You pretty much can’t go wrong. Look for the low sodium versions.
Baking Bags. Bye bye dry turkey! I’ve been using baking bags for the last three years. Here are a few of my Turkey Tips:
Happy Turkey Day! Can’t wait to post pics of my bird. I Dare You To Be Domestic.
