Kisha and Chris’s Wedding: A Postcard For A Wedding?
Happy Wednesday everyone. What a week, what a week. Between the rainy weather, my move, my job and all the other projects I’m committed to, I’m feeling a little pooped! But, I am happy to share with you a new piece of the puzzle from Kisha and Chris’s wedding – the Save The Date Postcard! That’s right you heard me… Postcard.
In true DTBD style, we decided to save on printing, postage and time by using a simple postcard design as a wedding Save The Date. Our graphic designer, who will be featured in a later blog, came up with this earthy yet modern art direction that features an image of Chris and Kisha’s hands forming a heart around a tree. I grabbed my camera and took this shot in my front yard – easy. We used an online printer and got the cards delivered right to our door. Here’s a look at what only a few cherished friends and family members got in the mail this week:
We were able to pull together this quick and easy Save The Date solution for less than the cost of a movie at your local theater. This will allow us to have more in our budget for the formal invitations. The response from friends and family has been amazing, and this one low-cost decision has set the tone for the rest of this special, joyous event.
Remember it’s not how much money you spend that makes something special. It’s how much creativity you put into it.
