Meet Simone, our Editor. Simone earned her BA in English Writing, Language and Rhetoric from the University of Maryland. After working two years as a project assistant at a nonprofit in Washington DC, she moved west to pursue an advanced degree in film production at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, concentrating in screenwriting for film and television. She has written several screenplays for those mediums and is currently developing an animated Webisode series. In 2007, Simone partnered with Derrick to develop the concept of Dare To Be Domestic, and has been overseeing its writing with the goal of bringing compelling and relevant ideas to its readers. Simone loves working with Derrick—whom she befriended in college—as he inspires her every day to live positively and creatively.
